And here we have the brand new winner of the Best Collection Award at 080 Barcelona Fashion: Miriam Ponsa. Proposal, 'Mule Women ', won the most coveted award on the Catalan catwalk, worth 20.000 euros. The designer has been inspired by the women carriers of Melilla, who carry goods to go from one side of the border between Spain and Morocco.
The garments are handmade, very careful and rich in details. Games of volumes, enveloping shapes and handmade basketry techniques are some of the keys to the winning collection of the 080. The color palette, how could it be otherwise, recreates the colors of the desert landscapes of Morocco: sands, beiges , stones and blacks.
