You'll need four ingredients for it; one more if you want it to be not only very cold but ice cold. Especially in summer, it's hard to give up that extra something that ice cubes provide. Ready to make yourself one?

Iced coffee

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons of your favorite instant coffee
  • 200 ml. of very cold water.
  • 50 ml. of whole milk or vegetable drink (Optional)
  • Sugar to taste (optional)
  • Ice (optional)

Step by step

Are you going to use ice? If so, pour it into the glass in which you want to serve the coffee (some people prefer to use a normal glass, others like to enjoy it in a tall glass...). Do you prefer it without ice? Then pour the 200 milliliters of cold water in the glass; make sure it is very cold, placing it in the freezer for a few minutes if necessary.

There are instant coffees that dissolve in cold water. If yours is like this you will only have to dissolve the coffee in water stirring vigorously with a spoon. If this is not the case, put a few fingers of warm water in a container and dissolve the coffee before transferring it to the glass of cold water or ice (with the rest of the water).

Do not forget add the sugar Once the coffee has dissolved, you can sweeten your cold drink. And the milk? You may ask yourself. You can add it as is or, as we suggest later, take your iced coffee at home to another level by adding it in the form of foam.

Use coffee ice cubes

Why not have prepared coffee ice cubesThey won't water down your iced coffee as much and will add more flavour to the drink. All you have to do is prepare coffee, fill an ice cube tray with it and put them in the freezer. And if you don't want them to take up too much space in the freezer, once they solidify you can remove them from the ice cube trays and store them in a container or jar that fits better in your freezer.

Add a layer of milk foam

Not your thing about black coffee? Want to add milk? You can use a electric mixer or a frother to froth milk and thus raise the level of your iced coffee at home. Now if you don't have these tools at hand you don't have to give up this one. You can froth cow's milk using a glass jar; close the lid and shake vigorously until the milk is foamy.

Iced coffee with cream

Play with different flavors

Do you want your iced coffee to be much more than a cold drink? Do you want to turn it into a delicious dessert? In addition to the foamed milk, you can add a little grated chocolate, cinnamon or caramel sauce delicious!

You can also make your coffee a real dessert by combining it with a ice cream ball dulce de leche, almond or vanilla, to name a few examples. Any sweet ice cream that contrasts with the bitterness of the coffee will be great. And let's not forget coffee ice cream, an extra for coffee lovers.
