Sales calendar and how to book
In Asturias, Catalonia, Castile-La Mancha, the Valencian Community, Ceuta, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, La Rioja, Navarre, and the Basque Country, reservations open on October 6 for priority accreditation holders and on October 7 for non-priority holders. In Andalusia, Aragon, Cantabria, Castile and León, Extremadura, Galicia, Madrid, Melilla, and Murcia, reservations will open on October 8 for priority holders and on October 9 for non-priority holders, following a staggered schedule to avoid overcrowding.
To finalize your booking, you will need your ID and the accreditation code indicated in the letter (at agencies, just your ID will suffice). The process usually begins at the time specified in your accreditation, a system designed to organize access and allow for greater flexibility in choosing dates and destinations.
Priority of access is determined by the Imserso points system: age, disability, economic situation , previous participation in the program and belonging to a large family are taken into account, which distinguishes between preferred and non-preferred applicants.
Sales are channeled through the concession holders and their network of agencies: Ávoris (Social Tourism) manages the mainland coast and short breaks, and Mundiplan operates the island coast through Mundicolor . It also relies on several thousand partner agencies to facilitate in-person bookings.
Places, lots and destinations
The program offers 879.213 places : 440.284 for the mainland coast , 228.142 for the islands , and 210.787 for short breaks (cultural and nature tours, provincial capitals, Ceuta and Melilla, and European destinations). Of these, 871.766 continue to receive the standard subsidy, and 7.447 are reserved at a flat rate of €50.
Lot 1 (peninsular coast, managed by Turismo Social-Ávoris) offers 440.284 places . The main destinations by volume are Andalusia (159.357) , the Valencian Community (153.754) , Catalonia (105.478) and Murcia (21.695) , with options with and without transport and stays of 8 or 10 days.
Lot 2 (island coast, managed by Mundiplan-Mundicolor) adds up to 228.142 places , distributed between the Balearic Islands (140.210) and the Canary Islands (87.932) , also with options with and without transport and stays of 8 or 10 days.
In Lot 3 (getaways and European origin, also from Social Tourism-Ávoris) there are 210.787 places , with this indicative distribution: 6-day circuits (129.302 + 1.308 at €50) , 5-day nature (41.753 + 424 at €50) , 4-day capitals (32.011 + 325 at €50) , 5-day Ceuta and Melilla (1.087 + 11 at €50) and European origin (4.552 + 14 at €50).
The organization of the lots is assumed by Ávoris (Lot 1 and Lot 3) and Mundiplan (Lot 2), incorporating the Mundicolor network in the latter and having the support of operators such as W2M, Alsa and IAG7 Viajes in the marketing through their agencies.
Program News and Conditions
The main new feature is the flat rate of €50 for 7.447 places , intended for those receiving an amount equal to or less than non-contributory retirement or disability pensions. In these cases, Imserso covers the difference in the cost of the trip, regardless of the destination.
Furthermore, for the first time, traveling with pets will be permitted on the mainland and island coasts: 2% of places will be reserved for pets up to 10 kg (including carrier) . Two months after the start of the trips, the winning bidder may request that Imserso release these places if the projected usage percentage is not reached.
To combat seasonality, 36% of the places in each package must be distributed proportionally month by month, avoiding concentrations on just a few days. In peak season , the same trip will cost €100 more than in low season: in mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands, peak season is October, May, and June ; in the Canary Islands, it is December, January, and February.
A €100 surcharge will apply for each subsequent trip within the same season. All other prices vary depending on the destination, trip duration, and whether transportation is included; detailed rates are available through official channels.
This year, quality control is being strengthened with the most stringent sanctions regime to date: penalties of 1% to 4% of the contract price if the agreed-upon number of stays is not met. The budget allocated per lot is €32 million (mainland coast), €24 million (island coast), and €15,6 million (short breaks and European origin).
