Nice Things has launched a new limited edition collection: Limited Edition No. 8. This ephemeral, numbered collection is a creative collaboration between Paloma Santaolalla and her daughter Paloma Lanna, who currently run the Spanish brand.
This is a themed collection inspired by the African continent , which has led the brand to develop exclusive prints such as digital face prints and line drawings. These prints, in turn, reveal the beautiful color palette the brand is embracing this season.
The color palette
Cinnamon takes center stage in this new collection. It appears in embroidered or printed designs on off-white T-shirts, shirts, and jackets, as well as in gingham patterns. In addition to cinnamon, blues and pinks dominate the collection, appearing in both solid and printed garments.
The patterns
Three prints showcase the creativity that so characterizes the brand. The most striking is undoubtedly the digital print of faces in shades of brown, pink, and blue on a white background. This print creates very feminine and delicate yet powerful garments. The second is the line print, which, in cinnamon tones, adds an ethnic touch to various tops.
Another key print is gingham, a true classic for summer. Present in trousers, jackets, and dresses, it adds that classic touch that the brand is known for, which can be balanced by combining different prints and/or colors in the same outfit.
Key parts
The Guinea jacket, crafted from cotton with contrasting embroidery, is one of the gems of this collection—you won't want to take it off! The high-waisted South Africa trousers with a gingham print are another versatile piece. You can pair them with tops from the same line or with the striped knit tops and jackets from the same collection.
The Botswana dress with adjustable straps and a digital face print is sure to catch your eye. Very feminine and cheerful, you can wear it in many different situations, just like the Cameroon jumpsuit in tencel with a lapel collar and crossover neckline.
