After New York, London, and Milan, fashion returns to its undisputed capital: Paris. The longest and most important fashion week in the world opened its doors today with the presentation of Dior's Spring/Summer 2019 collection.
Starting tomorrow and running until October 2nd, the French capital will host runway shows from major international brands. In addition, a dozen new labels will be featured on the official Paris Fashion Week schedule for the first time.

Among those who will be walking the runway for the first time at Paris Fashion Week are the young Chinese-Korean designer Ximon Lee, the Ukrainian Anton Belinskiy and the Berlin-based designer Yolanda Zobel, who will be making her debut with the futuristic French brand Courreges.
We'll also have the opportunity to see the London-based brand AWAKE at this marathon , founded by Natalia Alaverdian, Harper's Bazaar's Russian fashion director. Another British brand, Marques'Almeida, founded by the Portuguese couple Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida, will also make its Paris debut after showing in London.
What to expect from Paris Fahion Week
The fashion shows kick off today with Christian Dior and the rising star of French design, Jacquemus. The lineup is completed by Gucci, which is leaving Milan this season and moving its show to Paris, specifically to the legendary nightclub Le Palace.
Starting tomorrow, the pace of Fashion Week will be frenetic. Seventy-eight runway shows and around thirty presentations for the Spring/Summer 2019 season will take place , culminating next Tuesday with the collections of Chanel and Louis Vuitton, among others.
Maison Margiela, Guy Laroche, Chloé, Paco Rabanne, Isabel Marant, Loewe, and Balmain will define the first half of Paris Fashion Week. Also highly anticipated is the presentation of the iconic Hedi Slimane 's first collection for Celine.
We will have to wait until the second half of Paris Fashion Week to see the shows of Altuzarra, Vivienne Westwood, Elie Saab, Hermès, Sonia Rykiel, Balenciaga, Poiret, Valentino, John Galliano, Givenchy, Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen.
