
'Valentino Donna' by Valentino, 'Alaïa' by Azzedine Alaïa, or 'Coco Mademoiselle' by Chanel are some of the winning perfumes of the IX Perfume Academy Awards , which have chosen the best fragrances of 2016.
A jury of experts from various sectors related to perfumery voted among more than 50 fragrances to highlight the most important creations of the year in their respective categories: Best Luxury Women's and Men's Perfume, Enrique Puig Special Award for Best Classic Women's and Men's Perfume, Best Niche Women's and Men's Perfume Award, Press Special Award for Best Communication Campaign, and Best Design and Packaging Award. One of the winning perfumes was Dior's new men's fragrance, 'Sauvage' , which took home three awards (best men's fragrance, best design and packaging, and best campaign, starring Johnny Depp).
These are the best perfumes of the year for the Perfume Academy in the feminine and masculine categories:
-Best Luxury Women's Perfume: 'Valentino Donna' by Valentino.
-Best Luxury Male Perfume Award: 'Sauvage' by Dior.
-Enrique Puig Special Award for Best Classic Women's Perfume : 'Coco Mademoiselle' by Chanel.
-Enrique Puig Special Award for Best Classic Male Perfume: 'L'Homme' by Yves Saint Laurent.
-Best Female Perfume Niche Category: 'Alaïa' by Azzedine Alaïa.
-Best Male Perfume Award Niche Category : 'Bottega Veneta pour Homme Extreme' by Bottega Veneta.
-Best Women's Perfume Design and Packaging: 'Decadence' by Marc Jacobs.
-Award for Best Male Perfume Design and Packaging: 'Sauvage' by Dior.
-Best Communication Campaign for Women's Perfume: 'Chance Eau Vive', by Chanel.
-Award for Best Communication Campaign for Male Perfume: 'Sauvage' by Dior.
In addition, the fragrances by Antonio Banderas, 'King of Seduction Absolute' and Paula EchevarrÃa, 'Paula', received special recognition in the 'Main Public' category as the best-selling consumer products in 2015.
