Tomorrow, Wednesday, the 67th edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, the great date of Spanish fashion. It advances its date with respect to other years to anticipate other great 'fashion weeks' in order to achieve a greater international projection. Will you get it?
From January 24 to 29, the fall-winter 2018-19 collections of prestigious Spanish designers such as MarÃa Escoté, Palomo Spain, Devota & Lomba, Olivia, Andres Sandra, Roberto Verino or Moises Nieto. There will be incorporations, reinstatements and great absences, we will tell you!
Reincorporations and absences
The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, the largest reference of Spanish design in the world, will host the presentation of the autumn-winter 2018/19 collections both of consecrated names of fashion in Spain, and of new values.
Oteyza, Duarte, La Condesa or Isabel Núñez join this new edition and names such as Pedro del Hierro rejoin, after 15 years of absence, Leandro Cano, Moises Nieto or Juanjo Oliva that will include the 'see now buy now' to acquire in the moment the clothes of the parade. A good year therefore in which, however, there will also be casualties; Montesinos, Torretta and Maya Hansen will not participate in this edition.
Calendar
During the six days of parades, will present their new proposals such prominent names in Spanish fashion as MarÃa Escoté, Palomo Spain, Hannibal Laguna, Ailanto, Devota & Lomba, Olivia, Andres Sarda, Roberto Verino or Leandro Cano.
The parades and presentations of the first day will take place in different parts of the city. We can see Pilar Dalbat in the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando or Pedro del Hierro in the Railway Museum among others. From the 25th, however, the bulk of the presentations will take place in the pavilion 14.1 of Ifema
Maria Escote will be in charge of opening the calendar of fashion shows at Ifema with her collection 'See now. Buy Now ». The closing of the presentation of established designers, meanwhile, will be in charge of Palomo Spain next Sunday, January 28. Between one and the other we will enjoy the parades of Alvarno, Jorge Vazquez, Juan Vidal, Ana Locking, Duyos, Ailanto, Angel Schlesser, Teresa Helbig or Marcos Luengo, among others.
On the last day of the program, as usual, the Mercedes-Benz Fahion Week Madrid will give up its space to pop-up design. Zer, Antonio Silicia, Ãœrde Studio and Paloma Suarez will parade through the Samsung Ego catwalk. With this project, which already has 12 years of history, it is intended to mediate between young talents, the fashion industry, the media and textile companies.
